Reaching out across time and space.

In 2007 my beloved husband was diagnosed with a brain tumour. We had immigrated to New Zealand from Zimbabwe in 2000 and the thought of losing my husband was inconceivable and we were deeply depressed while our children were inconsolable. My husband was the leader in our family and it dawned on me that I would have to take over that responsibilty but I was ill equipped to do so. My uncle, John Saunders, in England was great friends with Leon and he tentatively suggested that I contact him. It was a phenomenal experience - Leon gave healing advice and techniques for myself, my husband and children he had an uncanny knack of sensing when I was spiritually faltering and would send me techniques and ideas to guide me through the nightmare my life had become. I spoke to him a number of times on the phone and it was like chatting to a dear and old friend. I was struck by his vibrancy and his certainty that he was the master of his own destiny. Towards the end when my husband was desperately ill, Leon sent me messages of encouragement and healing over the miles and I know that I would not have been able to endure my husband's illness and death if I hadn't had Leon's incredible support and strength. I was devastated to learn of his death from my uncle and it has taken me a few days to process this great loss. Marian Walsh, Auckland, New Zealand Marian
